As a system administrators in Computer Engineering at METU, Our responsibilities:
- Provided maintenance, development and support for IT services provided to department's students and staff (about 750 active users each semester).
- Administered services including email (postfix, dovecot, spamassassin, clamav, amavis), webmail (Roundcube and SOGo), web (Apache), database (MySQL - MariaDB), DNS, LDAP (OpenLDAP), DHCP, wireless (PacketFence), NNTP news, NFS, remote login, online course management system (moodle), bigdata (MAPR), parallel computing (Slurm), Puppet, Webinar (BigBlueButton).
- Maintained Linux(Ubuntu and Debian) on 180 PCs, 12 server machines and 40 virtual machines (XEN).
- Assisted faculty, staff and students with their usage of Campus Computing Sites facilities and services. Resolved equipment and software problems.
- Security of Deparmant of Computer Engineering services and servers.
